We are happy to announce our partnership supporting The Herd Theatre in their mission to make creativity and play a part of every child’s life. Our partnership will help extend their reach, bringing more opportunities for joy, connection, and imagination to families who need it most.

The Herd makes space for childhood. Rooted in Hull, and acclaimed nationally, The Herd collaborates with young children to dream up shows, installations and programmes of play that ignite joy, celebrate child creativity and nurture family connection. The Herd Theatre believes in the radical power of theatre to reimagine a world with more space for early childhood, a world where children thrive and communities flourish.

The Herd creates playful, creative experiences for early years children and their families because we know that the arts can be transformative at this special stage of life. When young children participate in creative play they develop essential skills for life. When families share exceptional arts experiences together, they form vital bonds that contribute to long-term shared wellbeing.

Since 2016 The Herd have reached over 94,000 people with shows, installations, workshops and play sessions and engaged over 5,000 children in playful, participatory arts projects. We hope that with our support, they will reach even more children and their families, encouraging stronger and happier communities.
